RULES OF DISCIPLINE

Pupils are expected to show courtesy and respect to all, both inside and outside of the school premises. They are expected to greet members of the staff and visitors to the school.

Running and shouting in the school building is not allowed.

Pupils must not write on walls. Names must not be carved on woodwork. Reasonable care must be taken of all school property.

Breakages must be reported to the class teacher.

Care should be taken to keep the building clean. Ink on walls and floors, waste paper, food, or other litter must not be left lying about. These are regarded as slovenly or negligent.

Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school.

No collection for any purpose may be made in the school without the prior permission of the Principal.

No pupil may leave the premises during working hours without the permission of the Principal.

Irregular attendance, late coming, habitual lack of interest in school work, words or actions opposed to good conduct, cheating, stealing, or any other practice harmful to the good name of the school are sufficient reasons for dismissal of a child from the school.

The students are expected to converse in English in the school premises.

If any child attends school late, he/she will be excused only twice. On the third time, he/she is likely to be sent home.

Students will not be granted leave of absence unless their parents send an application in advance. In case of sickness, the application must be brought on the day of attending the school.

If any student remains absent for more than 7 days without informing the Principal, his/her name is liable to be struck off.

The Principal can, in the interest of the school and without assigning any reason, ask a parent to remove his/her child/ward if the parent’s or child’s conduct, behaviour, or influence is, in the Principal’s opinion, detrimental to the good name and smooth running of the school.

School-leaving certificate shall not be issued without a written application and full payment of all school dues from the guardian, along with the T.C. fee applicable as per government norms.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE PARENTS
- The school expects the co-operation of the parents to ensure.
(a) That the children do their home-work regularly.
(b) That the children bring to school their books and note books.
- Parents are requested :
a) To see the notes which may be made in the school diary by the teacher.
b) To make their own remarks in the school diary for the information of the teachers and
c) From time to time to glance through the books and note books of their children.
- Parents and guardians are not allowed to see pupils or meet the teachers directly for any such business. They should contact the Principal or The School Office for permission to see or meet the student.
- Parents are requested not to allow their children to bring expensive articles to the school like mobile phones, watches, money and Jewellery.
- Parents are requested not to contact teachers at home regarding problems and progress of their children. They must come to the school and meet the principal regarding the same.
POLICY OF EVALUATION & PROMOTION (NEW)
The parameters of evaluation and promotion of the students from class 1st to 10th will be as follow.
(Periodic-Assessment)
- Periodic Test (10 Marks):
The school will conduct six periodic written tests in the entire academic year. (First three tests before half yearly exam and next three will be before annual exam) and the average of the best two tests will be taken. in each term.
- Notebook Submission (5 Marks)
Notebook submission will be for internal assessment for enhancing seriousness of students towards preparing notes. This also addresses the punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.
- Subject Enrichment Activity (5 Marks)
Subject Enrichment activities will be taken by each subject teacher and it will be recorded internally by respective subject teacher.
Half Yearly and Yearly Exam (Class I to VIII)
Half yearly and yearly exam will be of 80 marks. Students have to secure at least 33% marks out of 80 in each subject.
Note: Student has to secure minimum - (Indicate only) - as we will follow the directions from time-to-time)
a) 33% in Periodic Assessment.
b) 33% in half yearly and yearly exam separately (I to VIII)
c) 33% in yearly exam (IX & X)
For class IX & X there will Periodic Assessment and a yearly exam at the end of the academic session.
Note: "These rules are indicative and are valid till any instruction does not come from CBSE to introduce any modification."
POLICY OF EVALUATION & PROMOTION :-
(I to V) - Min. Grade D
(VI to X) - Min. Grade D
In the subjects where grades are awarded, a student must secure grade D
- If a student remains absent in a periodical test, there will be no separate test or exam for him/her. However, if the reasons for absence are found to be beyond the student’s control, his/her absence may be condoned and proportionate credit shall be given on the basis of other test/exams.
- There will be no supplementary examination, but students failing in a maximum of two subjects and obtaining not less than 30% marks in each will be promoted to the next higher class provided the aggregate of marks is not less than 35%.
- Students failing continuously for two years in the same class will not be allowed to continue in the school for the third year.
- MINIMUM ATTENDANCE NECESSARY FOR ANNUAL EXAMINATION :-
A student who has not put in a minimum of 75% of the total attendance will not be eligible to appear at Annual Examination. This limit can be reduced to a minimum of 60% on production of medical certificate from a recognised medical practitioner, subject to satisfaction of the principal.
- Medical Examination :-
All the pupils admitted in the school shall be medically examined periodically.
